Professor Leon Jay, son of the late Professor Wally Jay and Sensei Lonnie Calhoun @ the 2014 Jujitsu America Convention.
What is Close Quarters Combat Jujitsu(CQCJ)?
CQCJ is a blend of very specific Martial Arts, Danzan Ryu Jujitsu, American Combat Jujitsu, Castoldi’s Jujitsu, Small Circle Jujitsu Theory, and Shotokan Karate. The CQCJ style blends the striking techniques of both Karate and Kung Fu. Sensei Calhoun has incorporated the principals and techniques of these fighting arts in an attempts to demonstrate the continuity and efficiency of motion in Jujitsu.
CQCJ utilizes simple techniques that employ leverage and body mechanics to deliver maximum output/pain with the least amount of effort. Consequently, Close Quarters Combat Jujitsu is ideally suited for law enforcement, women, young adults, seniors, and those Martial Artist considering expanding their knowledge of the Arts.
